The closed detector test kit allows smoke detectors to be tested up to a height of 6.00 m without the need for a ladder. In the closed test method, the gas remains confined within the test bowl, which promotes rapid alarm activation while reducing the amount of aerosol required.
It is possible to add two extensions (ref. 0353) to increase the intervention height to 8.00 m .
Two control methods are proposed:
- The open test, which reproduces a direct projection of gas (ref. 0320)
- The closed test, which favors speed and reduced aerosol consumption.
The choice of procedure depends on the situation and the control objectives.
- A closed test bowl (ref. 0356)
- A 5.00 m fiberglass composite telescopic pole (ref. 0355)
- A 150 mL test aerosol (ref. 0360)
- A carrying bag (ref. 0357)
Offering a complete solution for ground-based detector testing. Poles and extensions used for closed testing can also provide access to heat detectors.
The included carrying bag makes it easy to store and move the kit between jobs, while keeping the components together and dry according to component storage recommendations.
Before use, check that the components are securely fastened and follow the procedure for inserting and locking the aerosol. Observe the precautions relating to the flammability and pressure of the gas contained in the aerosol, as well as the manufacturer's recommendations for storage and handling.
