New bolts to facilitate diagnostics
Hot-dip galvanizing the steel provides increased resistance to oxidation of the bolts.
In order to identify the reasons for a leak, it is necessary to dismantle the head of the post to analyze the operating axis, the valve and the shoe elbow
The new bolts allow everything to be left in good condition and easily accessible until the repair date.
CAUTION: The level of oxidation of SMHM posts prior to 1999 may require breaking the outdated bolts. Generally speaking, replacement of SMHM posts is recommended in the event of a leak.
