Description
Testing detectors by direct projection
The open test head is used to verify the activation of smoke detectors by projecting the test gas directly towards the sensor. It is designed for use with composite test poles part numbers 0353, 0354 and 0355.
Pressure controlled activation
The projection mechanism is activated by approximately 2.5 kg of pressure exerted against the ceiling. This pressure can cause the tiles of a false ceiling to lift; it is recommended to press on the rails located between the tiles to limit this movement during the test.
Inserting and locking the aerosol
The head is equipped with a screw-on attachment tab allowing the test aerosol to be inserted and then screwed back on to hold the aerosol in position before triggering. This system facilitates loading and positioning during testing operations.
