Description

Optical detection and responsiveness

This smoke detector uses a photoelectric sensor to detect the presence of smoke and quickly signal an abnormal situation. The device activates as soon as the base is installed, it remains in standby mode, displaying a flash every 60 to 70 seconds to indicate that it is powered. It emits an 85 dB audible alarm in case of detection.

Indicator lights and signals

The LED indicates the different states/modes of the device:
- Standby (flashing every 60–70 s)
- Low battery (flashing every 30s and beeping every 60s)
- Triggering (flashing every 0.5 s and continuous audible alarm until atmosphere is cleared)
- Mute/pause (flashing every 10s)
- Prevention (flashes twice every 30s, signaled 30 days before the sealed battery becomes low)
- End of life (flashing associated with two beeps every 30 s).
When a CO/alarm is triggered, the red indicator light remains lit continuously.

Testing, Pausing and Maintenance

The "Push to Test" button triggers the weekly test by holding the button down for at least one second. The "Push to HUSH" button temporarily pauses the alarm for ten minutes. It is recommended to regularly check the battery and electrical circuit and to vacuum the detector approximately once a month to prevent clogging.

Lifespan and replacement

The device is intended to be replaced ten years after installation . The end of life is signaled by a specific flashing of the LED and two high-pitched beeps every 30 seconds.

Installation and responsibilities

The detector should be installed in recommended locations, such as near boilers and in corridors leading to bedrooms. For private homes, installation is the responsibility of the owner and maintenance is the responsibility of the tenant. Comply with local standards and guidelines during installation.
