Description

A unit intended exclusively for hydrostatic testing

Allows you to simply carry out the five-year hydrostatic pressure test of RIA hoses at 7 BAR for DN33 RIAs and at 12 Bar for DN25 RIAs.

The ROT and CORDIA units offer a mixed system which allows pressure/flow measurements and hydrostatic tests to be shared.

The purchase is also tempting for a company which does not wish to unroll the hoses during inspection.

With their tool, the original diffuser is not connected to the hose when taking the measurement. A washer with a 6, 8 or 12 mm hole is installed instead to simulate the behavior of the diffuser.

In the reference standard, NF S62-201 of 2020, the lines explicitly referring to the connection of the measuring tool between the pipe and the diffuser have been deleted, but Table 1 still highlights the "Minimum characteristics" with a "corresponding minimum flow rate, fully unrolled pipe and diffuser set to straight jet position" .

Furthermore, the fact of having a mobile tank intended for testing, with a flow rate of 128 L/min for a DN33 RIA, raises questions about the duration of the test to take a coherent measurement without overflowing the whole thing.

Ultimately, it is the duty of the maintenance company and the Customer who edit the contractual terms to explicitly specify the possible reasons which prevent the hose from being unrolled.

Please note, purchasing this pump or another requires basic mechanical skills. The pump must be primed and tested before leaving for intervention.
In the event of a malfunction, the technician must ensure that the filters adjacent to the pump balls are not clogged.
