Description
Type 4 alarm for establishments open to the public
This type 4 alarm is suitable for small ERP (local shops, restaurants, function rooms, small industrial sites) and complies with the NFS 61-936 standard . It alerts occupants with an audible signal and a light signal in the event of a fire.
Integrated sound and light signal
The device combines a 90 dB sound signal measured at 2 m and a white light flash at 1 Hz. The signal lasts for five minutes when triggered.
Commissioning, testing and rearming
Commissioning is carried out as soon as the supplied batteries are inserted.
The test button located to the right of the logo allows you to check the battery status: when pressed, the device emits two beeps and two flashes, then the three LEDs light up successively; green indicates a correct battery level, yellow an average level and red a low level.
To reset after a trip, open the lower hatch, insert the reset key and then close the hatch.
Connection and installation
The alarm has an input that can accept up to two external manual triggers; the recommended line length is a maximum of 30 m. The housing is intended for indoor use and has mounting holes with center distances of 160 mm in height and 86 mm in width.
Conditions of employment and elements provided
The device operates within a temperature range of −10 °C to +55 °C and has an IP30 / IK06 protection rating. It comes with screws and an opening and resetting key. The battery level affects the performance of the device: it is recommended to regularly test the battery condition.
