The Chubb 10 LLDCO detector continuously measures carbon monoxide (CO) levels using an electronic sensor . It activates when the cover is inserted and displays the highest CO level (between 11 and 999 ppm) since the last reset.
The audible alarm exceeds 85 dB(A) at 3 m and uses a pulsed signal in the 3.0–3.5 kHz range. The detector signals several conditions with beeps and on-screen indications:
- Low battery alert (beep every 60 s + “Lb”)
- Failure (beep every 30 s + “Err”)
- End of unit life (two beeps every 30 s + “End”)
- MCU failure (continuous beep)
- Button stuck (beep every 5 seconds)
Alarm memory is indicated by a flashing red light every 60 seconds; during a CO alarm condition, the red light remains on continuously.
- Normal (Standby)
- Test : Display of three dashes on the screen then "888" with four strong pulses, a pause and return of four pulses
Perform a test by pressing the button once a week to check the operation of the detector
- Alarm Memory : Red light flashing every 60 seconds
- Maximum Carbon Monoxide Level : Digital display that indicates the highest CO value between 11 and 999 ppm since the last reset
- CO Alarm Reset : Continuous Red Light
The detector has a standby mode and a test mode. To perform a test, press and hold the Test button for 10 seconds; the detector will then beep three times and the green light will flash every second during the test. The display will first show three dashes, then "888"; the test includes four loud beeps, a pause, and then four pulses. Apply a test carbon monoxide: if the detected level exceeds 40 ppm, the alarm will sound. The test mode will automatically end after two minutes, and the detector will then reset. It is recommended to perform a weekly test by pressing the button once.
Carbon monoxide detectors must be installed in accordance with applicable local guidelines and standards, including EN 50292. The Chubb 10 LLDCO model is designed to be wall-mounted near boilers and in corridors leading to bedrooms. Replace the device ten years after installation; the end of life is indicated by the dedicated function.
