ABC 40 Powder – 3 x 3 kg is a versatile extinguishing agent designed to act on a wide range of fire hazards . Packaged in a box of three 3 kg bags for easy filling , it is suitable for use in residential, commercial and industrial environments.
Formulated with 40% monoammonium phosphate (MAP) and enriched with hydrophobic additives , the powder has increased resistance to moisture. When applied, MAP forms an insulating blanket over the fire, smothering combustion and limiting the risk of re-ignition.
The powder is suitable for Class A (solid materials), Class B (flammable liquids) and Class C (gas) fires, reducing the need for multiple types of extinguishers. It is suitable for residential buildings, commercial establishments, industrial facilities, educational institutions, healthcare facilities and transport-related uses.
The product is supplied in bags (3 × 3 kg) in a cardboard box and presented in blue tint (the color alone is not always sufficient for identification). The recommended replacement periodicity is 5 years, but this may vary depending on the fire extinguisher manufacturer in France. The safety data sheet (SDS) and the technical data sheet are available on request. This article is intended for fire safety companies and must be handled by competent technicians; handling pressurized equipment involves risks.
The powder displays a thermal stability of -60°C to +85°C and an indicated fluidity of <60 , ensuring suitable behavior under varied usage conditions.
