Description

SC-6 is a high performance additive for Class A and B fires.

The NF S 61-919 standard and the manufacturers' recommendations are linked to replacement of the additive after 3 years, or even 5 years.

The periodic inspection of auxiliary pressure devices, mainly manufactured in France, requires the device to be opened annually.

The periodic inspection of permanent pressure fire extinguishers, mainly manufactured in Asia, requires the devices to be opened every 3 or 5 years, or even replaced (itinerant nitrogen-free technician, unavailability of spare parts).

Handling equipment under pressure is risky. It is carried out by competent technicians. For example, holder of a fire extinguisher verification agent CAP.

Recommended use:

SC-6 contains PFAS with a long carbon chain (C8).

The regulations require the gradual withdrawal of PFAS, which will be replaced by other products also representing risks to the environment, but without a planned ban for the moment.

During emptying operations on impacted devices, and during reloading operations on premixed devices, wearing gloves suitable for chemical risks is strongly recommended.

To preserve the environment, favor auxiliary pressure devices with additives in separate doses in order to strongly limit releases into nature of chemicals mixed with drinking water.
