The NF S 61-919 standard and the manufacturer's recommendations are linked to the replacement of the screwed dose after 5 years. When opening the device annually, the year marked on the dose ensures that the service is carried out.
If a certified company is missing, please leave a message on cnpp.com.
Handling pressurized equipment is risky. It is carried out by competent technicians. For example, holder of a CAP as a fire extinguisher verification agent.
DESAUTEL doses 1109, 1110 and 1111B, intended for portable fire extinguishers, only highlight the calendar year of manufacture as the deadline for placing in the fire extinguisher, and not a period of several months allowing for logistical management and deferred planning of the intervention.
In this respect, for example,
- a DESAUTEL or ANDRIEU dose, manufactured and purchased in December 2026, will have a use limit of December 2026 (less than one month).
- a DESAUTEL or ANDRIEU dose, manufactured and purchased in February 2027, will have a usage limit of 10 months.
Other manufacturers offer a more constant validity period to limit pollution linked to product loss, to limit the occurrence of obsolete doses in extinguishers after 4 years, and to facilitate maintenance planning.
This process results in unavailability of doses at the beginning of the year.
Please contact us directly during the first quarter to inquire about the availability of current year doses, and the discount level applicable to prior year doses.
EX-1 BT foam concentrate contains PFAS with a short carbon chain (C6).
In accordance with European Commission Regulation 2024/2462 of 19 September 2024 concerning PFAS type "C6", portable fire extinguishers, wheeled fire extinguishers, and fixed extinguishing systems with contained emissions can be maintained sine die with EX-1 BT emulsifier.
Having a separate dose greatly limits the risk of release into the environment.
When an aircraft is hit during an incident, the environmental damage caused by the additive helps prevent more serious damage.
