The NF S 61-919 standard and the manufacturer's recommendations are linked to replacing the additive after 5 years.
The periodic inspection of auxiliary pressure equipment requires an annual opening of the equipment.
Handling pressurized equipment is risky. It should only be carried out by qualified technicians, such as those holding a vocational certificate (CAP) as a fire extinguisher inspector.
DESAUTEL doses 1109, 1110 and 1111B, intended for portable fire extinguishers, only highlight the calendar year of manufacture as the deadline for putting in the extinguisher, and not a period of several months allowing for logistical management and deferred planning of the intervention.
In this respect, for example,
- a DESAUTEL or ANDRIEU dose, manufactured and purchased in December 2026, will have a limit of use until December 2026 (less than one month).
- a DESAUTEL or ANDRIEU dose, manufactured and purchased in February 2027, will have a usage limit of 10 months.
Other manufacturers offer a more consistent validity period, limiting pollution from product loss, limiting the occurrence of obsolete doses in fire extinguishers after 4 years, and facilitating maintenance planning.
This process results in a shortage of doses at the beginning of the year.
Please contact us directly during the first quarter to inquire about the availability of current year doses, and the level of discount applicable to previous year doses.
