Additional maintenance and recharging of ROT devices
The manufacturer's recommendations are linked to replacing the additive after 5 years.
The VALEXT LD additive contains PFAS with a short carbon chain (C6).
European regulations mandate the discontinuation of the sale of fire extinguishers containing this product from December 31, 2030. Unfortunately, ROT does not offer an alternative to extend the lifespan of fire extinguishers beyond this date.
The periodic inspection of auxiliary pressure equipment requires an annual opening of the equipment.
Handling pressurized equipment is risky. It should only be carried out by qualified technicians, such as those holding a vocational certificate (CAP) as a fire extinguisher inspector.
