This pressurization kit allows for the nitrogen refilling of permanently pressurized fire extinguishers from a standard supply cylinder. The kit includes the necessary components for gas regulation and transfer, including a high-pressure regulator and a secure control unit.

The system adapts to most devices on the market thanks to a set of eight brass fittings with various threads. A flat handle is also included to facilitate loading in cases where no threaded fitting is compatible with the device being treated.

Description

Find a nitrogen supplier, then become self-sufficient in refilling permanently pressurized fire extinguishers.

Content :
- Secure transfer unit, with markings in French (other languages available on request),
- 0-20 Bar regulator for nitrogen,
- Hoses and fittings

Manage the refilling of your permanently pressurized fire extinguishers independently.

This complete kit is designed for the maintenance and repressurization of fire extinguishers using nitrogen as a propellant . By connecting the equipment to a nitrogen source, it becomes possible to restore the operating pressure of the devices after use or a pressure drop detected during periodic checks. The equipment is designed to withstand inlet pressures of up to 200 bar at the regulator inlet.

Transfer unit and safety devices

The central element of the kit is a steel transfer unit equipped with a safety valve set at 18 bar . This device acts as a secondary protection to prevent the pressure injected into the extinguisher from exceeding the mechanical resistance limits of its tank, even in the event of improper handling of the regulator.

If the pressure exceeds 18 bar, the excess gas is immediately vented to the outside. This feature protects the extinguisher body from permanent deformation and ensures operator safety throughout the pressurization process. Technical markings are in French to facilitate component identification.

Precise regulation and flexible high-pressure

The supplied pressure regulator allows for outlet pressure regulation between 0 and 20 bar , covering typical recharging needs ( generally around 15 bar ). It is equipped with a protective rubber casing , an adjustment knob , a shut-off valve , and an internal safety valve . The 1500 mm long, 13 mm diameter supply hose connects the regulator to the transfer unit via a system of quick-connect plugs and fittings.

The use of industrial grade (dry) nitrogen is recommended to avoid introducing moisture into the body of the fire extinguisher.

Compatibility and connection solutions

The kit includes eight brass filling fittings covering the most common thread sizes (M8, M10, M12, M14, M16, and M24). These adapters connect instantly via the quick-connect fitting on the hose. For fire extinguisher models that do not match any of these threads, the included flat handle allows you to manually apply the filling fitting to the extinguisher's valve to complete pressurization.
