Function and use

The red radio manual trigger allows you to remotely trigger the 0987R alarm and the associated sound and light diffusers. It is designed for indoor installation and can be surface-mounted or recessed depending on the site constraints.

Wireless Range and Installation

The theoretical range in open field is 2,000 m ; the actual range may be reduced by obstacles and interference. The absence of a wired connection facilitates the positioning and reorganization of alert points.

Pairing and communication test

The trigger pairs with the Type 4 radio alarm (0987R). To enter pairing mode, press the button on the back of the front housing three times.
A communication test can be performed by holding the same button down until the front LED lights up; when released, the LED goes out and then a brief flash within ten seconds indicates that the trigger is connected to the control panel, otherwise check the pairing.
Trigger status is also accessible via the AXEtype4 mobile app (App Store / Play Store).

Tests, autonomy and maintenance

The trigger operates on two AA batteries (included) and has a stated battery life of 3 years (including testing). The battery status and radio link quality should be checked periodically to ensure the alert point is available.
