Description

Meet the safety requirements of your buildings

The installation of this 100-liter tray meets the requirements of the French Labor Code (Art. R4227-32) and specific fire safety regulations. It is particularly required in parking garages, residential buildings, and boiler rooms, where the presence of a non-combustible absorbent material is mandatory on each level or near fuel storage areas.

The stored sand or absorbent acts as a fire extinguisher by smothering flames, particularly liquid fires. In public buildings and service stations, this system is also used to absorb hydrocarbon or oil spills, thus limiting the risk of fire spreading and accidental falls by users.

For parking lots
- Article R4227-32 of the Labour Code provides for the presence of a sand or absorbent container near work locations, requiring it to extinguish a small fire.
- Article 18 of the technical instruction of March 3, 1975 specifies, for example, that a 100 L container equipped with a shovel is present on each level near the parking ramp.
- Article 96 relating to Housing provides for the presence, on each level, of a 100 L sand or absorbent bin equipped with a round-bottomed bucket and placed near the circulation ramp.
- Article PS 29 related to ERPs requires the presence of 100 L of non-combustible absorbent freely accessible at the operating station.

For boiler rooms in all premises
- Article 20 of the amended decree of June 23, 1978 provides for the presence of tanks near these boiler rooms.

For boiler rooms in public access buildings using solid or liquid fuels
- Article CH 10 stipulates the presence of a sand or absorbent deposit. In this case, the absorbent is also intended to absorb oil spills to limit the risk of fire and prevent users from falling.

For each service station distribution area
- The decree of January 7, 2003 provides for the presence of a reserve of at least 100 L of non-combustible absorbent protected from the weather.

The APSAD R4 rule related to the reduction of insurance costs also goes in this direction for boiler rooms and above-ground storage of flammable liquids and gases.

An economical design for technical rooms

This container is made from 75/100 mm thick electro-galvanized steel , coated with red epoxy paint for quick identification by staff. Due to its lightweight design, it is intended for installation in areas protected from moisture and the risk of significant mechanical impact .

The bin has a flat bottom for good stability and comes with a removable lid equipped with a handle . This lid protects the contents from dust and debris while remaining easy to remove in an emergency for immediate access to the absorbent material.

Storage and installation accessories

The device is delivered disassembled, which reduces its size during transport or spare storage. Its assembly is simple and allows for quick deployment in distribution areas or maintenance zones, in accordance with the requirements of the APSAD R4 standard.

For optimal effectiveness in the field, this container can be supplemented with accessories such as a round-bottomed fire bucket or a shovel ( not supplied ). These tools facilitate the transport and precise projection of sand onto the source of the fire while allowing the operator to maintain a minimum safety distance.
