The liquid inside the bulb expands when heated and breaks the glass at 68°C , triggering the flow of water. 1/2" NPT thread, UL listed, C-UL approved, FM and VdS approved, CE certified.

Description
Replace a faulty head with an approved and compatible part
The 68°C chrome-plated pendant sprinkler head is designed to replace defective or worn heads on sprinkler systems. It is installed exclusively in a pendant position , with the nozzle facing downwards, for low, normal, or high-risk applications in commercial or industrial premises. The deflector distributes the water downwards and laterally, providing standard coverage of the area beneath the head.
Operation via glass bulb
This head incorporates a 5 mm glass bulb filled with a heat-sensitive liquid. At 68°C, its activation temperature, this liquid expands sufficiently to break the bulb and trigger the water flow. The flow coefficient K is 80.6 l/min.bar?½ , a value used to size the system's water supply.
Installation and maintenance
During installation , applying a sealant to the 1/2" NPT thread before tightening is strongly recommended. Caution: if using tools during installation, ensure the torque is between 9.5 and 19 Nm. Excessive torque can deform the head's inlet and cause a leak. This fitting should never be used to suspend an object and should only be cleaned by gentle dusting.
End of life and compliance
The bulb is not replaceable separately: if it breaks or to change the activation temperature, the entire head must be replaced. It must never be painted, plated, coated, or modified in any other way after leaving the factory.
