Compliant with NF S 61-932 and ISO 2408 standards, this cable has a diameter greater than 2.25 mm. Its central metal core guarantees a tensile strength of at least 1,770 N/mm². It is ideal for ensuring the long-term operation of smoke extraction systems in order to promote normal evacuation of workers and residents. The reel makes it easier to unwind and store the cable. It also allows for rapid work by limiting awkward postures (working at height, carrying loads).

Wire material: Grade B galvanized steel. Sold individually. |
Designed for professional use
A protective tube prevents personal injury when the device is triggered or reset up to a height of at least 2 metres above the ground. The cable is secured at the bottom with the cable clamp present in the mechanical winch, and at the top with the cable clamp present on the multiplied fuse. |

In line with the NFS 61-932 standard, the cable has a maximum length of: - 15 meters if its path is visible from the ground. - 8 meters in other cases. To this length is added the opening length initially wrapped around the winch drum. Along the cable path, pulleys prevent friction with the walls. This ensures that opening remains fluid and closing remains easy. Maximum number of pulleys allowed: 3 Minimum angle per turn: 70° |
- Grease the cable along the operating parts.
- Check that no wires or strands are broken.
- Check for corrosion.
- Check the condition and presence of mechanical protection.
- Perform a trigger test.
The NF S 61-933 standard explicitly highlights the maintenance rules.
- ERP and homes: at least once a year.
- Workplaces: defined by the operations manager taking into account their safety obligation and insurance terms (generally 1 year).
If this is not done every year, we recommend including in the maintenance contract periodic interventions allowing the mobilization of men and lifting equipment to check the top of the smoke extraction systems (sealing, outlet, fuse, jacks).
